Theta Epsilon Nursing Excellence Award Winners and Grant Recipient
In 2020, we had three recipients of the Theta Epsilon Chapter Nursing Excellence in Leadership Award:
Ms. Joyce DeGennaro
Ms. Kate Dorminy
Ms. Trish Celano
Back in November, the chapter presented each of the recipients with a certificate and an award of $150. A nurse who is a recipient of the Nursing Excellence in Leadership Award displays exceptional leadership characteristics in the realm of scholarship, education, and/or practice. This is a nurse who is passionate about their work, inspires others, leads by example, and whose work will have ongoing impact. We are so proud of all three recipients, and grateful for the impact that have made on the people around them.
We awarded the Theta Epsilon Chapter Research Grant to Dr. Jean Davis for her research proposal: “Cancer Survivors’ Physical Activity.” Dr. Davis received grant funding of $1,000 from our chapter. Congratulations, Dr. Davis! We are so proud of all our chapter members who are impacting the medical world with their research.

On your feet: Theta Epsilon needs socks!
Theta Epsilon needs socks! Our chapter is stil accepting donations of new, unused pairs of socks for our Warm Soles Sock Drive. The socks will be donated to the homeless community of Central Florida. You are more than welcome to bring your donations to any of our events, as well as drop them off at the College of Nursing. Our donation box is located on the 3rd floor at the main desk.
Donations that are collected will be distributed throughout the local homeless community.
